We start by creating a sense of safety for the client. So first together we become curious about what safety might look like/feel like and how a client can start to feel more settled. Once we’ve created a greater sense of safety we begin exploring your “presenting complaint”. This might be where you feel stuck in life, the issue that brings up the biggest charge for you, the thing that led you to Somatic Experiencing® in the first place. Using the cues of the body via feelings, sensations, imagery, and movements we begin to track and get curious and explore how we can repair, discharge and resolve whatever seems to be surfacing in your nervous system. Generally, there is a sequence to each session with a slow build to the core of an issue, some release of energy leading to a slow and mindful integration of the client’s nervous system.
Generally a Somatic Voice session starts similarly to a regular SE session. Together we establish a sense of safety and start to explore where you are blocked vocally. Using the cues of the body we become curious about how we can begin to unlock whatever is blocking the voice from its full potential. This could come in the form of singing, sounding, humming, movement. We may also explore imagery, feelings, sensations and stories that come up for you. Our curiosity generally allows for movement of the stuck sound in our voice via release of energy or emotion while experiencing a sense of repair around the vocal block and settling back into our nervous system. We then revisit the voice and see how it feels and sounds differently now that we’ve experienced a shift. Our work is interactive and oftentimes my training as an energy healer and intuitive healer also helps facilitate the healing and repair of the client’s voice..

The most important part of my approach is to ensure each client feels truly seen and heard. Every person has a unique history, a different way of processing information as well as a physiology shaped by their experiences. Because of this, I tailor my work by meeting you exactly where you are and assessing how I can best support you in the moment.

I’ve found that simply showing up with presence, compassion, and deep understanding creates an immediate sense of support. If you feel the safest processing through reason and understanding, I meet you there. If you need to work through emotions, I support your emotional body and go from there. If you are more action-oriented, I help guide you in movement and will-based approaches. My work is always adaptive, responding to your needs in real-time to create a personalized and effective healing experience

I’ve worked with people who once felt hopeless and stuck, unable to see a way forward. Today, they’re traveling the world, embracing new opportunities, and creating deeper, more meaningful connections. Many have shared that they feel happier, more open, and more engaged in life than ever before.

I’ve helped clients who felt trapped in their careers, struggling with self-doubt, financial fear, and a sense of not being enough. Through our work, they’ve gained confidence, moved into better opportunities, and expanded their sense of what’s possible.

For those who felt frozen in daily life—unable to complete tasks due to anxiety or overwhelm—I’ve helped uncover the root causes, allowing them to move through their days with greater ease, joy, and a sense of accomplishment.

I’ve also worked with people who felt ungrounded and fearful of life, afraid to take risks or move toward their dreams. Now, they’re putting themselves out into the world, moving to new places, trying new things, and embracing adventure with courage and confidence.

No matter where you are feeling stuck, my goal is to help you break free from old patterns and step into a more empowered, fulfilling life.

Tracking progress in Somatic Experiencing® is a deeply personal process, and every client’s journey looks different. SE is intentionally slow and mindful, allowing your nervous system to process and integrate change without becoming overwhelmed or retraumatized. My role is to guide you at a pace that feels safe and supportive, ensuring that progress unfolds in a way that your system can handle.

How progress is measured depends on you. Some clients experience significant shifts in 5-10 sessions, while others require more time based on their history, physiology, and personal goals. Signs of progress may include:

  • Feeling more relaxed and present in sessions
  • Moving in and out of experiences with greater ease
  • Noticing an increase in energy, awareness, or clarity
  • A release of stuck sensations or emotions
  • Finally doing something you’ve been avoiding for years
  • Overcoming a deep-seated fear that once held you back
  • Experiencing an inner knowing that your work is complete

Ultimately, success is not just about resolving a single issue—it’s about building resilience, freedom, and a deeper connection to yourself so that you can navigate life with greater ease.

I provide a session write-up after each session, summarizing what we worked on and offering personalized guidance for what you can focus on between sessions to support your healing. The best practices for integration vary based on your specific needs, but even 5-10 minutes a day, 1-5 times a week, can make a meaningful difference.

Your between-session work might include:

  • Journaling to process insights and emotions
  • A daily meditation to deepen self-awareness
  • Inner child exploration to connect with and heal past wounds
  • Art therapy or Music therapy as a creative way to express and release emotions
  • Reading SE-based books for additional understanding
  • Listening to targeted podcasts that explore key themes in your healing

Integration is key. The mindfulness and small practices you engage in between sessions help reinforce your progress, making each session even more effective.
